March Phone Photos

March started with a sick Caitlin. She spent a few days home with an upset stomach. After fighting her one afternoon to take a nap, I came through the living room to find her asleep watching TV.

Thankfully, once the nap was over she woke up feeling much better!

Cooper's school hosted field day and I had the chance to volunteer and watch him enjoy the activities.

We made our annual trip to the Houston Rodeo.

Cooper had many evening baseball practices, which meant Caitlin & I spent a lot of time together.
Caitlin started swimming lessons. Of course, the first day she stepped off of the bench and sunk. She also really loved her teacher, Coach Matt, and was sad to leave him for a new coach.

While out of town for Easter, Caitlin was supposed to be sleeping. Instead, she decided to raid my purse.
Happy Easter!

Ariel's Tea Party

Last month, Nana and I took Caitlin to a Princess Tea Party with Ariel. Before the party, we decided that Caitlin needed a new spring dress. We tried a few on at home that she refused to wear and ended up at Target one afternoon. Cooper was helpful enough to find & show her the brightest pink dress in the store. She refused to look at anything else.

The party ended up being one of the most fun things I've done with Caitlin. They hosted around 12 girls, most under the age of 6, who were completely star struck.

Each girl started by having her makeup applied by Ariel.

Once the makeup was done, they each had their nails polished.

The hosts had set the tables for a tea party (pink lemonade & cookies). I just loved the centerpieces!

Once the girls were done with their nails and makeup, they all sat down for tea & cookies. Ariel used this time to read her storybook to the girls.
Each girl was able to take a photo with Ariel that was printed & sent home. The girls were all announced and applauded by their parents! I couldn't help but think of all of the "dance shows" I've attended at various NYE parties.
Once the tea & cookies were finished, Ariel invited all of the girls to sing and dance with her. I think that was their favorite part and she received many hugs after the songs were over.
Caitlin managed to find Ariel for one more photo before we left.

January Phone Photos

It seems as if the months that are filled with sports just fly by. Throw in a week long trip for me (work related) and I have no idea what happened to January.

Aunt Sassy gifted Caitlin a box of Disney Barbies for Christmas. The cycle is that she undresses them, and I have to come back and redress them. Fun times.

Jason went to a Cowboys game, so Nana and I took the kids to see Alvin & the Chipmunks. It was Caitlin's first movie and I think she ate the most popcorn. But overall, she really did well.

We spent some time building the Lego set Santa brought.

At 6 years old, he's still excited by the garbage truck.

After many long conversations about a "big girl bed," Caitlin finally spoke up and asked to have hers changed. I was convinced it would not last, but so far (almost 8 weeks later) she is doing well.

We celebrated a birthday with this Happy Girl!

And sometimes, this one is happy too.

Caitlin opened one of her big Lego sets.

My "helper."

One night, I let Caitlin polish my toes for me. She worked so very hard and after she went to bed, I cleaned the up a bit.

Jason and I decided to finally renovate the laundry room. We replaced the flooring and painted the walls. Cooper even helped with the nail gun!

More Soccer Games

Cooper played his last few soccer games in November, wrapping up the season the first weekend in December. The kids played well most games & once we had a double header to make up for bad weather.

Cooper had a few spectators during his games.
And he scored a few goals.
This was right after he scored once!
During our double header, we won the first game & Cooper scored 3 goals. Sadly, we lost the second game.
The kids love running through the tunnel after the games.
Our last game was held in December. I missed the game due to a 5K, and our coach decided not to show up either. Jason & another dad coached the kids and we closed out the season with a trophy.
He was just a little excited.

October Phone Photos

Most of our phone photos from October are from our trip to Italy, but that's another post waiting to happen. Maybe sometime in 2016.

Caitlin has four favorite shirts - her two jerseys, her Elsa shirt and her Yoda shirt.
Fitting, since we showed her Return of the Jedi that month also.
Cooper loved playing soccer.
We drove to College Station to tailgate with some friends and came across this car in the parking lot.
Caitlin is still trying to ride her tricycle.
Always be yourself...unless you can be Batman.
We went to Aunt Sassy's house to watch the Aggie game & paint pumpkins.

Nana made Caitlin an outfit for Halloween.
Cooper participated in the pumpkin painting at school. His choice - The Pout Pout Fish.
We took advantage of the great weather for bike rides & runs.
Nana gave both kids new Crocs for Halloween. Caitlin was thrilled to receive another pair of Else Shoes.
We carved our pumpkins:
Cancelled soccer games meant trips to Costco.
These guys love their Cowboys football.

We fueled up before Trick or Treating while watching The Great Pumpkin.
And the kids ran from house to house to Trick or Treat.
