Phone Friday

I think most of these photos are from the past month. Catching Keeping up is hard. I find all sorts of projects I want to start, but realize they would never get done. For now, I'll stick with trying to keep up here!

I took Caitlin to the doctor on her birthday for her check-up.
After dinner, we opened gifts. We bought her two books, which she loves to read. Almost as much as Cooper does.

Earlier this month, we had weather that was cool enough for a campfire. We cooked hot dogs and s'mores outside. Cooper calls them chocolate sandwiches.

One of the many afternoons spent in the pool. I ended up pretty wet after this jump.

We took Cooper on a big kid trip to the JW Marriott Hill Country. We had a great time, even though the water was a bit cold, and I can't wait to go back.
Cooper got to make his own ice cream by the pool. (though, truth be told, I ended up doing most of the work)
One morning, we attended a Dinosaur activity where the kids learned about fossils and even got to hold some.
We spent some time, not much though, resting in the room.

Caitlin watched her big brother at his last game.

I'm not sure how, but suddenly one day she woke up looking like such a big girl!
It's like we have a Hungry Hungry Hippo on our hands.

We walked to a new park one Saturday morning. Caitlin was not happy being told she couldn't follow her big brother. She also realized that she really loves the slide.

We went to a Paris themed birthday party, so Caitlin HAD to wear Eileen's Eiffel Tower dress.
Cooper enjoyed painting and was so happy with his masterpiece.

This girl loves to be in the swing.

Mother's Day 2014

We started Mother's Day with breakfast at La Madeline. Cooper loved his French Toast and most of Jason's croissant.

After breakfast, we headed for the zoo. We wanted to beat the heat & the crowds.
The warmer weather agreed with most of the animals. Cooper loved seeing the bears!
He's fascinated with bears and the possibility of them being in a cave.

Caitlin really enjoyed riding in the wagon and not being strapped in.
As a treat, we let Cooper ride the carousel. Caitlin did not enjoy it at all. I think the fake animals scared her! She never cried, but she was definitely scared.
We ended the day with our usual stop at the giraffe statue.

Diamondbacks Baseball - Games 4 & 5

Game 4 vs the Oakland A's started with the YMCA Pledge.
The crowd watched intently.
Cooper played pitcher (or, patcher, according to him) this time. He was very excited to get some action and see the ball.
Cooper loved being the pitcher!
Game 5 was against the San Francisco Giants, where Cooper played outfield.

It was warm that day, for sure!

Pool Time

Caitlin got a small pool for her birthday and we could not wait to fill it up. She's a huge fan of bath time, so I was pretty sure she would love swimming.

Turns out, she's not quite sure yet. So far, the water has been pretty chilly most days.
Cooper spends most of his time jumping in & out of the pool and splashing her...which she doesn't really like. This particular weekend, we also put up the water slide.
Caitlin really thought she wanted to get in the bigger pool.
