I can pretty well guarantee we don't take weekly photos on Tuesdays anymore. I try, but it just seems that Tuesday is always a crazy day and we then scramble to make it up on Wednesday or Thursday.
This week we ended up lowering Caitlin's mattress. We'd caught her pulling up a few times around the house and knew that if she tried it in the crib, she might end up flipping out.
If you think it looks like she was screaming in this photo, odds are she was. I swear that girl screams non stop. I have visions of days in 6-8 months where she screams my name over and over. Similar to Will Farrell in Wedding Crashers. MOM! MOM! MA! MA! THE MEATLOAF!
Pray for me.
Cooper's new request is to take pictures like this - on their stomach & not the back.

A Cousin Playdate
Earlier this month, Aly came by for a visit. We met them all for lunch & then her parents headed to a wedding shower. Since it was one of the nicer days we had this month, we loaded up the wagon and headed to the park. Both Cooper & Aly had fun exploring the park & Adalynn LOVES to have her picture taken.
Caitlin mostly watched, but we did check out one slide.
I really love this new park. The city (or maybe MUD District) added it last summer. They put in three play structures - one for babies, one for preschool age kids & one for bigger kids. They added a few swings and even have two huge fenced in dog parks. For that mythical dog Cooper will never have.
Adalynn loves Cooper. This isn't the best photo, but man...her face says it all.

36 Weeks Old
January has really felt like a long month, but I can't remember much of what we did!
Now that Caitlin is moving, her first job is to find her brother. She's constantly looking for him.
They are always making each other laugh.
I feel like when we put her on the blanket now, we're racing to snap photos before she rolls over & scoots away or tries to eat the bear.

35 Weeks Old
As with most weeks these days, we were a day late taking pictures. The kids went to school New Year's Eve & we spent the evening with friends, so it was a bit crazy. New Year's Day was spent around the house & in the back yard. We were all a bit tired from the celebrations the night before, so a relaxing day at home was nice.
The entire month of December was a bit crazy, but so much fun. As much as I enjoyed the month & the Christmas season, I think we were all ready for a bit of a break & some rest.

Happy New Year & Gig 'Em!
The Aggies BTHODuke in the Chick-fil-a Bowl on New Year's Eve. Cooper & Caitlin sported their Aggie gear for one last football game with No.2 - Johnny Football.
December Phone Photos
We were given quite a few Christmas outfits for Caitlin to wear this past year. I'm actually hoping some of them will fit next year!
I started the month right for church.
Despite some cold weather, the first few days of December were quite warm.
I spent a some time baking cookies for a birthday party.
And took a quick trip out of town for work. This was the view from my room.
Cooper celebrated his 4th birthday.
He also sang in his first Christmas program at church. Before church, he was pretending to be a zombie.
4 Years Old!!
We celebrated by having dinner at Cooper's favorite place.
Caitlin started to get really excited about Christmas.
Cooper acquired quite the collection of super heroes for his birthday. One morning I found them lined up. Too bad they didn't do the ironing.
The kids went to Nana's house for Cousins Camp. Waffles really missed them.
Caitlin seemed to have a bit of trouble with the holidays.
Cooper passed all three float tests and was able to put a hand print on the wall.
We helped Cooper write his first official letter to Santa.
Cooper helps me dress Caitlin some days and begged for her to wear these boots.
Some nights are rough...
Caitlin's first Christmas celebration!
Since Christmas follows his birthday so quickly, Cooper really gets opening gifts.
Someone discovered the tree...
We baked cookies for Santa. I'm not sure why Caitlin was this excited, but I guess the idea of someone bringing you toys excites children of all ages.
The four of us managed to make it to church on time Christmas Eve.
Jason and I wrapped up the evening with a little wine.
I happened to walk through the house & noticed that Santa came.
Cooper was so very excited.
And Caitlin seemed to really like her gift.
Someone really started to move. I left her on one side of the house...and found her in the kitchen.
We ended the month visiting the pediatrician for a follow up & flu shot.
What a big girl!
We celebrated New Year's Eve in our finest ruffles.
