The first day was a bit rocky. It started with an early flight & not a lot of sleep the night before.
Cooper seemed to have a bit of an upset stomach. We sent the dads off to find some meds, since the next morning included plans to hit the slopes. Shortly after they left, Cooper screamed for me from the other room. He'd thrown up.
Caitlin happened to be standing across from him & it got on her pjs. He ran to the bathroom where my friend was able to help & clean him up. I stripped Caitlin & tossed her in the pack & play and started cleaning up. Thankfully, the bedroom floors are hardwood. Also, our friends have a sink in their laundry room. Because I've cleaned up enough after kids to know that if you don't rinse the towels out, you should just toss them.
I felt terrible for Cooper & spent most of the night awake, waiting on him to either be sick again or for someone else to get sick. But, miracles happen & everyone woke up feeling pretty good.
Cooper was very excited to see snow. We put him in ski school, Caitlin went to the daycare and I spent the morning just watching & reading.
I walked over to watch & take photos. It was about that time that it started to snow - and ended up snowing pretty hard. I'm not sure if Cooper found the novelty in skiing in the snow the way I would have. That is, if I actually enjoyed skiing.
Apparently, someone fell at the top of the lift, causing Cooper to fall on top of them. He wasn't able to move fast enough and a snowboarder then ran over him. He shook it off and started down the hill, only to fall again. Hard.
We all made Cooper go back up a few times to try again & he did much better. Shortly after that, I decided I was frozen and headed inside to get Caitlin. The rest of the crew packed up & we headed home with some really tired kids.
