Phone Friday

Cooper likes to ride in the car with his leg crossed like this. It cracks me up. He also will put his hands behind his head if we're going a long distance. It makes him look like such a big boy!

A few weeks ago, we took dinner to Baby Evan's family. We spent the evening catching up while Cooper & Eileen played. Finally we stopped for one photo op of the three kids.

Last weekend we decided to head to College Station since the Aggies were out of town. We wanted to visit with Baby Adalynn and take Cooper around campus. We started with a trip to the Chicken for lunch, of course!

Last week we had Fall Picture Day. I wanted Cooper to wear a nice polo with his jeans. He didn't. Look who won.

Last Wednesday, Cooper and I locked ourselves out of the house before school. We spent part of the morning playing in the garage & he had time to drive his car up & down the street.
We finally got another haircut. This time Cooper sat in the chair all by himself! I was so excited!! He did really well and looks handsome with his short hair. (Though I always think it makes him look so old.)

Some days I'm pretty sure Cooper might be smarter than me. Some of the stuff he says amazes me - I have no idea where he gets it!

Take picture day - I begged him all morning to wear a nice polo for pictures. He refused. Finally I said "Cooper, will you please wear this brown shirt for picture day? You'll look really handsome." He held up his jersey and responded "I will look really handsome in my Cowboys jersey, too." At that point, I gave in. I mean, he was right!

The next day I'd baked cookies for the church bake sale. They were cooling on the bar when we came in from school and Cooper made a beeline for them. As he grabbed one, I yelled "NO! Those are for church, Cooper! For Jesus." He took one bite, put it back and said "Jesus will share with me."

Currently, he's a little confused about months. He knows Halloween is in October but thinks every day is Halloween day. I keep meaning to print off a calendar to mark off days, but that hasn't happened. (shocker) He also knows his birthday is in December. I'm sure once December rolls around he actually WILL think his birthday is the whole month!

Phone Fridays

I'm catching up on a few weeks and then I hope I can get back on track.  We'll see.

A few weeks ago, we went to the Cowboy's game & Cooper spent the night with Aunt Sassy. They were going to ride horses, so he left totally prepared.

The following week Cooper was exhausted for several days. One afternoon we made a quick trip to Kohl's and after he threw a massive fit in the store, we headed home. He was ranting and raving while I ignored him & chatted with a friend. Suddenly I heard nothing. I figured he was sulking only to turn around and see this.  Guess he was really tired!

Eileen came over to play one Sunday and insisted on wearing her Tangled dress as soon as she walked through the door. For some reason she wanted the skirt on her head.

Cooper gets to dress himself if we're not leaving the house. He came down in plaid shorts, a Cars shirt (that's a size too big) and his rubber boots.

We prepped for the Cowboys Monday night game by putting on our game day gear. Sadly, it didn't help.
We went through a potty training regression a few weeks ago. Jason & I finally got fed up and decided to go for something big. We offered Cooper a "big Buzz toy" if he went two weeks straight accident free.  He also knew that if he had one, we'd have to start all over. Finally last Wednesday he made and we headed to Target.

We don't buy very many toys for Cooper. He'll ask and the response is usually that he can look at them, but we can't take them home. When he found out that Buzz was coming home, I was certain he was going to pee his pants right there. He was SO excited and told everyone in the store that it was HIS Buzz toy.

Last weekend I went away for a girls trip. Cooper and I had a quick breakfast date before I left over kolaches.

He looks pretty studious in my glasses, don't you think?

A few funny things from the past few weeks.  When Eileen was over, Cooper convinced her to play football (in her princess dress). I kept hearing him tell her they needed to "cuddle up, then kick the ball."  Once he kicked the ball completely across the house! I had a hard time fussing since it was such a great kick.

Cooper participated in a little lead-line playday with my sister & Pony while we were in Dallas. I promise to try & upload a video next week - he giggled so much!

This week we met my mom for dinner and Cooper begged to go home with her. When I told him that he couldn't go because he didn't have clothes, he looked at me and said "I have these clothes right here!"

A week or so ago, Cooper wanted to wear the 1 pair of footie pjs we own - blue covered in drawings of tools. They are a 3T and I was certain they wouldn't fit. I couldn't convince him to agree, so I just decided to let him try them himself. We got them on & zipped and he proclaimed "I'm a tool man!"
