Astros Baseball - End of the Season Party & Game

We decided to host the end of the season party the same day as our last game this year. After searching for a good location, we planned to host the party at our neighborhood park. And then it rained. A lot. And the playground was underwater.

Jason and I just decided to host it at our house and hope for clear skies so that the kids could play outside. Instead, it started pouring right as the party started.

Thankfully, the kids were great and had fun playing together!

The kids received their medals and team photos, before running out to play in the mud.

Caitlin wanted to know where her spectator medal was.

Just kidding. She wanted a cookie.

The next day, some of the kids attended a game to see the real Houston Astros play.

Cooper knew we'd see Mickey Mouse, but Caitlin was very surprised and excited!

Caitlin did really well sitting in her seat for most of the game, but got bored around the 7th inning. We headed out to the concourse to walk around.

The kids were able to run the bases after the game. Cooper decide to run fast and passed people up as he ran around!

We ended with a quick photo on the baseball before heading home with two really tired kids.

Astros Baseball - Game 7

Our final game of the season was also the hottest one. We played at noon and summer was out in full force as we were up against the Diamondbacks.

It was so hot, my camera lens kept fogging up!

Cooper finally made it all the way around the bases! The past few games, he had been at the bottom of the line up and was either thrown out at first (bringing in a runner) or stranded at the end of the inning.

He even managed to slide into home!

The kids played a great game and many of them had really good hits off of the pitch!

Our biggest fan?

It was a great season for the Astros! We really enjoyed being able to play on a team with the same kids from last year.

Astros Baseball - Game 6

Game 6 was another weeknight game for us. We played the Baltimore Orioles.

Caitlin was a busy fan.

Having a game two days prior meant the kids were hitting really well!

Cooper enjoyed wearing his eye black.

Astros Baseball Games 4 & 5

I'm not sure what happened during this game, but I must have spent the entire time chasing Caitlin. Because I wasn't taking photos.

We played the Rangers & Cooper was placed in Right Field.

Our 5th game was against the Rockies. Jason happened to be out of town that weekend.

Cooper played first base and had a few great plays combined with our right fielder and pitcher.

I'm still certain the kids favorite part of each game is running through the parent tunnel.
