When we found out we were having a boy Jason and I agreed right away that we wanted his nursery to look like something for a little boy - not a baby boy. Meaning primary colors instead of pale blues and greens. I mean, I did spend 9 months calling him "the kid." Pretty well sums up that I wasn't having a baby...I was having a kid. (not a goat, just not a baby) I was kind of right - Dr. F said he came out a kindergartner. 10lbs isn't really a baby. Outgrowing the 3 month pjs at 8 weeks old isn't really a BABY either.
But all of a sudden I got sad. Sad that the 3 cute little baby outfits didn't fit for more than 2 weeks...and one never fit! By baby, I mean something light blue with "Thank Heaven for Boys" on it. Yes, I caved. And Cooper wore that outfit several times but managed to pee on it every stinking time before I got a photo!! My next kid will wear that sucker...unless it's a girl, of course.
We're going to baptize Cooper in a few weeks and hope to take family photos that day as well. Jason wants him in something "boy" - khaki pants and a button up. My mom and I want something baby. I mean, he will only be 3 months old, even if he looks like he's 6 months!! I did tell Jason that we can change clothes.
So the point of my story is that last night he had on his matching hat and pjs. We're having a bit of a war against naps right now (meaning he's not taking them!) so it was after bath time before the mood was right for photos. In light of the cold weather we attempted a hat and all of a sudden...he looked like a baby!!

He is obviously over the whole picture taking thing.
