August could be defined by one thing: waiting for the first day of school. Cooper was beyond excited to start Kindergarten and we were happy to get a break on daycare expenses.
We tried not to embarrass Cooper in his classroom, but did manage to get one photo before being sent out the door.
Cooper was able to ride the bus home that day and was sure to let me know that it was "the best day ever" when he saw me.
After over a month of Kindergarten, I am happy to say he still loves it. His teacher is great and he's made many new friends.

August Beach Vacation 2015
This summer we decided to join most of my family in Port Aransas for the annual beach trip. After seeing how much Caitlin loved the beach in June, I was very excited to see the kids playing with their cousins.
All of the kids enjoyed building sand castles and playing in the mud. Caitlin most enjoyed knocking them down. I'm sure she did that just to make Cooper mad.
Jason had one request for our trip - to take Cooper to see the U.S.S. Lexington located in Corpus Christi. Cooper was very excited to see the ship!
Their marketing team must have children. The first airplane as you walk in the door looks just like the Skipper from Planes. Not only did Cooper recognize him, but I heard several kids yell out that it was Skipper and that's Dusty's friend.
The whole experience is very hands-on, with many things for the kids to climb in & on. Caitlin was right behind Cooper, doing whatever he did.
The top deck of the ship has many airplanes to see and even sit in.
Both kids loved seeing everything on the ship, though neither spent much time listening to stories or reading about the ship.

July Phone Photos
It was miserably hot this summer. We haven't had many 100 degree days the past few years, but this year...it felt like it would never end. As a result, I feel like we spent most of the summer indoors.
During some of the days outside, Caitlin found "her" bike and tried riding it. She's just not quite tall enough.
We spent the 4th with Nana & Pops where both kids tried out the hula hoop.
But my favorite part of the day was seeing Cooper discover he wasn't afraid of fireworks. We stopped on the way home to watch a display in our old neighborhood, and then couldn't pull him inside.
Caitlin hasn't really been one to love on her babies, but one afternoon Baby Stella had to take a nap with her.
Cooper's bottom teeth started getting loose. I decided to make him a tooth fairy bag - which turned out pretty good!
Adalynn was treated to an afternoon at the circus, so Brielle hung out with us. I can't imagine that anyone loves her more than Cooper does.
I took both kids out for dinner one night & Caitlin only at chips and salsa. Shocking.
We spent many days at the pool - more than the past two summers combined. For reasons I can't explain, Caitlin though the words "we need to head home" meant "get undressed."
She also developed a crush on Captain America.

I mean, how could you not love her?
This girl is such a ham!I took both kids out for dinner one night & Caitlin only at chips and salsa. Shocking.
